Naturally, every engine that works on the principle of internal combustion requires an elaborate and effective cooling system.
The solution was found in circulating a cooling liquid around the hot engine. The liquid is then brought to a radiator,placed at the front of the car,to be cooled it down before being sent back to the engine. The old cars used water,modern cars use a specialized cooling liquid-coolant,diluted with a specified proportion of water.
But despite a cooling system that has remained in use virtually unchanged for a long time,the car engines can and indeed do,suffers from over heating,which can be extremely damaging to the engine. So keep an eye on temperature gauge on the instrument panel. If the car is over heating ,pull over and let the engine idle.If the temperature still up,shut it off. Wait for cooling it then start and check the problem.
1. Faulty thermostat ;- A malfunctioning thermostat is one of the common reason for over heating. It can get stuck or freeze in the closed position, blocking the flow of coolant. To see if the thermostat is working feel the upper radiator hose. Once the engine worms up it too should become worm. if that does not happen ,then the thermostat is probably not opening properly. Then you should call for professional help.

The range finder mounted on the top is a Velodyne 64 bean laser. This laser allows the vehicle to generate a 3D map of its environment. The car takes this map and combined them with high resolution maps of the whole of the world.

Audi's Q3 is smallest cross ever and will take the BMW X1 head on it .It's look is not like the Q5and Q7 . It has a bloated looking front and a bulbous and bulky rear. Audi has worked on the detailing and specially the head and the tail lights to give the Q3 a pleasing over all look. Based on the 2007 cross coupe concepts, the front grille,the wedge shaped head lights are all trade mark Audi. And although the Q3 is quite small ,a full 250 mm shorter and 70 mm narrower than the Q5 ,the wraparound tailgate [which also makes it look bulbous ] also make it look much bigger than it actually is.
As compared to the X1the Q3 is slightly shorter [69mm] but wider and taller . Audi has done a good job of creating space inside given these compact dimensions and like the Q5 ,the Q3 offers adequate space for five adults and big luggage space for 460 litres, which is larger than on the X1. Transmission is thorough a 7- speed DSG unit and in addition to the various developments seen on the gear box earlier ,on the Q3 the S -tronic gearbox disengages both clutches when coasting in each and every gear-allowing the car to free wheel and there by increase fuel efficiency. There is a perceptible body roll the car is nice to drive and the ride quality is good .The engines are flawless and the low coefficient of drag at 0.32 and lowered lift at the axles help keep the car maintain good traction . The electro mechanically assisted steering is quite light and though some may complain of it not offering enough feed-back,it will be great to use in Indian traffic conditions..
The interiors are some different from the normal Audis The MMi system moves from the central floor console to the vertical console and the display now pops out from the top of the dashboard . The steering wheel is new and so are the knobs for temperature control .They are much better to use ergonomically ,they separate this car from the big family of Audi.
The X1 stays identical to the rest of BMWs on the inside while the Q3 has some distinctive traits . Quality of materials is good . All the comparisons for Audi are set against the bench marks the company has set for itself

It is an exciting and attractive GT car. The Artega GT is the hottest export from Delbruk in the German province of westfalia. It all depends on the throttle input.It turns it very sharply.The most impressive is its retardation,for all it needs is 32.9 meters to come to a deed halt from 100kmph . The Artega GT has a sport suspension that is 15 mm lower than normal and is shod with 305 section tyres. This is a wise design as they help the GT sweep wonderfully through bends while handling remains neutral in corners.
The ESP plays a bit of a spoilsport and paralyses things at the slightest hint of misbehaviour. With the ESP switch off ,this is a forgiving car and you can get early hints of its misbehaviour in the form of bow that presses outward gently and progressively . The Steering on the Artega GT is not the most responsive you can catch the car easily and make corrections..
The suspension of the car meanwhile deserves the auto equivalent of an oscar. It is superbly set up lending to great confidence around corners at high speeds on the circuit. The point where Artega GT loses is the price department with stickers .

Bmw's ---The M Car
The M car is that will make ecstatic each time you take it out for a drive.It is a combination of a strong turbo engine and compact build is an ideal recipe for a quick car ,however the combination does not seem to work all that well in the BMW -1 series M coupe It's front engine format and RWD does not blend with its 450Nm of peak torque.The result is that the car often loses traction at the exit of corners. Even with the ESP [called DSC] switched on the electronics need to cap the power of the car to maintain its balance through corners
For over rigorous test the I-series is just smooth .It's little too long legged and centrifugal forces jerk it into un-sporty portions. Tata tried with the Indica Vista to make the car feel more up market and youthful in an effort to appeal more to the masses. The first change noticed is new chrome grille. The Vista has now traded in its mesh grille from a chrome slat number that is identical to the Manza's front end .The car sports all new bumpers now,which makes it look a bit different from the last generation car .The old car's headlights have been replaced by three barrel projector style lights. There are generous splashes of chrome on the bumper ,fog lamps and the side panels . On the rear car has a mirror finish black strip that runs along the rear tail-gate along with smoked rear lights which give the car a sporty look. The top end variant now gets alloy wheels as standard.
There are a lot of new features beginning with the steering mounted audio controls and the "Sahara Beige " color scheme.The dashboard sports a soft touch leather finish .The blue tooth enable audio system with AUX and USB support from the earlier model still does duty here albeit with a more eye pleasing color for the display.

The engine is the 1240cc 75ps diesel as in old car. There is still enough torque to run happily while returning 18.1 kmpl in urban traffic and 23.6 kmpl on the Highways. The clutch has less travel and Tata have also introduced a clutch to start features in the car. The ride quality is still typical that soaks up all the bumps but is not quite the stiffest in the business

The Rolls-Royce is comfortably cruising at 160 kmph with the power reserve meter in the instrument cluster displaying 70 percent power left. Maruti Suzuki SX 4 1.3 DDIS ZDI
Maruti Suzuki SX 4 has a significant offer for its owners or prospective buyers. To start with there is a lot of space to be had ,be in front or at the rear . Even it is good for the tallest people,they will not be cribbing about feeling cramped. There is a lot of head room as well,courtesy it's tall design. There is a sufficient shoulder room too,as a result of which you can comfortably fit in three adults at the rear .This only makes the SX4 a genuine 5 seater ,unlike some other cars [ as some are in a segment above ] where the centre section of the rear bench is best left to children if you don't want a sardine can situation at the back

SKODA YETI 2.0 TDI Elegancea ,service
This car is clean from inside . The air vents have been meticulously cleaned and the carpets vacuumed . A heavy dose of dash shiner has ensured a pure black dash top.. The plastic cladding on the lower panels takes a lot of beating from the elements and even hosing it down with water, it remains gray and dirty. A special polish at the service station has ensured it has turned black again. It feels like new and indeed.

The Eeco has a handsome margin over the Indica. The Indica does have better ride ,slightly better seats and is more comfortable to drive,better handling. But the Eeco has better space and a bigger boot,which add to the feel comfort It is also easier to look out. It is for it's narrow pillars.high seating and short bonnet. Under the body head the Eeco manages to out score indica so much that even though the TATA scores higher for comfort. It is still behind.
The difference in comfort between the Indica and second runner up Sentro is even more.The Indica is roomier and beats the Sentro in terms of boot space as well, so much so there is 11 point difference between the two in the terms of space. It is only when it comes to quality. In the non traditional sense or under the body head ,the Tata is more comfortable.
The Tata has a better ride quality,,so over poor surfaces less is transmitted inside the cabin. Noise plays an important role when it comes to comfort. Indica beats the Santro. Then The Indica has cushier,more accommodating seats as well,particularly at the rear. As the ingress/egress,the Sentro is some better. i 10 [ 2007-till date ]

Even after the filler goes "click " there is scope for fuel to be filled so fill up the tank to the brim. Note down the odometer reading and 'zero' the trip meter. Now drive as usually do. But when the fuel needle points to half a tank or thereabouts, fill it up again. Tank up at the same filling station and if possible the same dispenser to keep error to a minimum. Tank it up like before and note down the odometer reading and the trip reading. And also the amount of fuel you filled . Now divide the trip reading or the difference of odometer readings with the fuel reading to get the fuel efficiency.
2. Do it right. :- To achieve good fuel efficiency ,keep a few things in your mind . Shift to a higher gear as soon as possible,but make sure you are not lugging the engine in the process.Reach the highest gear and stick to lowest rvs possible. Keep tyres inflated at recommended pressure levels . Switch off the engine at red lights to avoid wasteful idling.

BMW X1 VS Land Rover Free Lander 2

Force one
For force one ,Force Motors have bought a ready-made platform and deftly fundamental design and also engineering steps. it saves a lot of time ,,resources and money also.The interiors of the force one are old school design but swathed in beige hues and with leather seats ,they seem up for the task The air cone vents are nearly integrated into the roof -lining instead of the ugly blower unit screwed on to the roof .The blower controls for the near vents are on the centre console so passengers remain at the mercy of the driver.Equipments of the car includes a 2DIN JVC stereo with Bluetooth and steering wheel mounted audio controls and cruise control. There is no air bags or ABS and are developing
Cabin space of the car is good,as it should be considering its foot print and there is ample room up front and in the middle row. You climb up into the SUV and the position of the driver is high set and commanding . Steering adjust for rake but easy to find good driving position. At the back ,the third row has adequate knee room where the children won't howl on long trip.Adult also feel happiness except the trailing edge of the roof lining eats into head room and anybody over the five and half feet will knock the back of their heads against it. The rear door does not open wide enough and access to the third row is the most difficult have encountered.

Engine is the high lighted of the vehicle. It starts wit a typical diesel wormed up noise intrusion into the cabin is not a concern. With141Ps and 321Nm on tap acceleration is vigorous with the engine coming nicely on song post 2400rpm . The turbo kick is strong so it is possible to break traction at the rear on loose or slippery surfaces .
There is no variable geometry turbo and consequently turbo lag is evident . The unit also gets a duel mass fly - wheel and is one of the engine in this segment to get this resulting in an impressive reduction in vibrations. A sore point is the gear box that is not slick and needs a fair bit of efforts to move through the ratios.
Measuring 4860mm in length and 178mm in width the force one is as large as the Endeavour -the vast proportions ,strong engine, poor access,to the third row ,rugged under pinnings and truck like feel. The Force One gets only rear-wheel- drive and did not get an opportunity to do much off-road, where as SUV will be extremely component in mud ,sand,slush or up a mountain. Standard all- terrain tyres help. Four wheelers drive with a brog-warner transfer case is developed. All of this Force One is not the most modern looking, but it has size and presence, twin-pipe exhaust a cosmetic add on,second row has good all- round space and third row has good knee room, head room is by roof lining that follows curvature of the rear hatch.
TATA ARIA 4x2
The Aria is one of the best designs to to come out of Tata Motors at the present time. The Sheer dimensions of the Aria gives at a strong road presence. The 4x2 variant does not see any design changes and looks exactly like the 4x4 except for the badging. 4x2 retains the same strong driveability of the 4x4 Aria. As the 4x4 variant is the 2.2 DiCOR engine. the motor has remained untouched and retains its power rating of 140PS at 4000 rpm. The Aria's G76 mark II transmission has been reworked for slicker gearshifts and shorter throws [ the same gear box available in the 4X4 model ]. It is better than the Innovas. The 4X4 Aria used an electronically uncontrolled 4WD system ,which meant that with the press of a button on the dashboard the car transformed into a rear-wheel drive, engaging only the rear axle. The new Aria has been ditched with all these facilities,which translates into huge cast saving for Tata while making it a regular rear driver. This also drop in price. Tata wants to sell 4X2 like Safari.

The 4WD Aria boasted a slew of features that send your mind into a kind of sensory over load.As per alphabet combinations like SRS,ABS,EBD,TCS and ESP was second nature to this car. The 4x2 Aria has a lot going for it,but has dropped the air bags, ESP and traction control from its arsenal. Cruise control and sat nav too have been with drown from the options list and are available only in the 4WD variant. The Pride meanwhile remain the flagship variant with all the fancy gadgetry and will be available only as 4WD .

The top end fully-loaded Innova VX and Aria is far more stylish and distinctive it is hard to make a conclusion in this case regarding segment bench mark.
