Red fort, The Qila-I-Mubarak.
Red fort was made by the Mughal's 5th, empiror Shah Jahan in old Delhi, which was called in those days Shahjahanabad the capital of Mughals. Red fort was built as a palace of Shahjahan in old Delhi which was surrounded by the walls having gates in it. It is situated on the right side bank of river Yamuna. The foundation stone of Red Fort was kept in 1639 and it took near about 9 years to completed. It is made of red stone and marble.
